What each measurement means
- Pitch (F0)
- How many times per second the vocal folds vibrate, in hertz. The typical range covers the middle half of your voiced speech.
- Speech level
- Average loudness of speech relative to the loudest possible digital signal (0 dBFS).
- Background noise (estimated)
- How far the background noise, measured in the pauses, sits below your speech. Phone noise reduction can make this gap look larger than it is.
- Pitch range over the clip
- Lowest to highest pitch, leaving out the extreme 5 % at each end.
- Spectral centroid
- The balance point of the spectrum: higher means a brighter sound.
